Members of the Official Texas Hispanic Caucus have decades of combined experience addressing issues affecting Texans of Mexican descent. From the history of the Mexican-American, so easily forgotten, to its many labels, to the voting power so easily surrendered, the contributions made by committee members are immeasurable. Although the State Democratic Convention is in the rear-view mirror, the road ahead continues with renewed purpose and determination. On behalf of the Official Texas Hispanic Caucus (THC), we remain proud to stand united with our fellow Democrats across Texas as we continue the important work of organizing, advocating, and helping elect strong Democratic leaders to public office.
Our commitment does not end when the convention adjourns. Throughout the year, the THC will continue its vital mission of educating and training our members, strengthening voter engagement, supporting voter registration efforts, preparing candidates for public service, and encouraging new leaders to step forward. This work is deeply personal to us because it reflects our shared responsibility to ensure that Hispanic voices are heard, represented, and respected at every level of government.
During the convention in Corpus Christi, Texas delegates came together to conduct essential Party business, including the election of new State Democratic Executive Committee representatives and issue caucus leaders. These representatives will continue meeting quarterly to advance Party business between state conventions and to help ensure that the priorities of our communities remain part of the broader Democratic conversation. When the full delegation reconvenes in 2028, they will report back to their respective caucuses on the progress made and the work still ahead. In the meantime, the Texas Hispanic Caucus will remain steadfast in our commitment to building political power, supporting Hispanic leadership, and working alongside fellow Democrats to elect candidates who reflect the values and needs of our communities. We invite you to stay connected, engaged, and involved by joining our monthly Zoom meetings and continuing this work with us.
Our Commitment to Transparency
We also want to be clear and transparent about who we are and how we operate. The THC is a self-funded organization. We do not solicit contributions, and we do not conduct fundraising on behalf of the caucus because we want to remain focused on the goal of electing democrats at all levels to public office. If anyone asks for contributions claiming to represent the Texas Hispanic Caucus, please know that they are not acting on behalf of our organization. We remain focused on service, leadership development, and collective civic engagement.

Our strength lies in our individuality. Our team is a collaborative project to bring together likeminded folks whose goal is to empower the Hispanic voter. The Texas Hispanic Caucus meet monthly on the second Thursday of the month.
